The structure of education has largely been influenced by the English system which was created with a purpose of developing individuals who could serve the British Government. The inheritance of the system also inherited the English language which became an inseparable part of the education system in India henceforth. The three-language system which has been functional ever since the independence of India recognizes teaching of English as a compulsory part of the language teaching. The National Education Policy 2020 had been a long-waited document. The present paper discusses the key-points made on the language teaching learning strategy in the NEP, 2020. The study has taken an analysis of requirement of English in the teaching learning system and has evaluated the NEP, 2020 document with a special concern to understand English language teaching discussion and suggestions. The National Education Policy 2020 emphasizes on cultivating the indigenous languages of the country and enriching multilingualism. Contrasting to this are the research data prompting towards the essential requirement of English for employability. The National Education Policy apparently fails to adequately address the need of the connecting language that can yield better employable youth.
Deepa Kukreti Copyright (c) 2020 International Journal of Current Research in Education, Culture and Society http://stm.eurekajournals.com/index.php/IJCRECS/article/view/591 Sun, 04 Oct 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Alcohol Consumption and Risk Factors of Alcohol User’s http://stm.eurekajournals.com/index.php/IJCRECS/article/view/586
Alcohol abuse can cause various physical side effects, including cirrhosis of the liver, pancreatitis, epilepsy, polyneuropathy, alcoholic dementia, coronary illness, nourishing insufficiency, peptic ulcers and sexual brokenness, and can eventually be fatal. The vast majority of citizens of all religious groups live in peaceful coexistence and are conscious of religious freedom and minority rights (US Department of State, 2009). The Ministry of Welfare of the Government of India issued a gazette notification on 23 October 1993 under the National Minorities Commission Act-1986 to the five religious communities Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, and Parsi (Parsi) to be a minority, the Central Government also recognized the Jain community as a minority in 2014 (Ministry of Minority Affairs, 2014). Education is the foundation for the national development and basic human right that create nation’s human resource more powerful which in turn contribute towards the development of the countries and it is believed that countries become successful when they empower their human resources. National Commission for Minorities (NCM) was set up by the Union Government of India in 1992 to protect the existence of minorities all over India and look after the minority communities of India to get benefits in education and employment opportunities. Minorities belonging to the region have established many educational centers and institutions to uplift their culture and language. Besides, they are entitled to reserve a specific quota of seats for students and teachers to their own communities. Various Government schemes provide direct aid to students and educational institutions for promoting minority communities in India.
Dr. Abha Dubey, Dr. Arun Kumar Dubey Copyright (c) 2020 International Journal of Current Research in Education, Culture and Society http://stm.eurekajournals.com/index.php/IJCRECS/article/view/587 Sun, 04 Oct 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Hindu Festivities in Mughal Durbar http://stm.eurekajournals.com/index.php/IJCRECS/article/view/588
The enthusiastic participation of the Mughals in Hindu religious festivals reflected the outbreak of the composite culture in Medieval India. But in the world of the 21st century, the extra responsibilities imposed on the school principal make it more complex to fulfill her / his duty as an effective leader. Therefore, an approach that emphasizes collaborative decision-making should move away from 'single person' leadership. When there is a failure in school improvement, lack of leadership is a major contributing factor. In this context, collaborative leadership can make a differentiation in the traditional way of the leadership concept through its shared responsibility. Collaborative leadership encompasses the specific actions taken by leaders to improve teaching instruction, create strong relationships with all stakeholders and make a positive effect on learning outcomes. This article is based on empirical studies, mainly the role of collaborative leadership on students’ outcomes and school improvement. In this context, the author first tries to give the conceptual understanding of collaborative leadership in details, and secondly, consider the empirical evidence from various research studies to know how collaborative leadership affects school improvement. You are what you make yourself be."

“Research has shown that good everyday teaching practices can do more to counter student apathy than special efforts to attack motivation directly.”From Barbara Gross Davis, in Ericksen, 1978.

Student academic achievement is most affected by the motivation in their educational environment. It is the duty of teachers to pay attention to the importance of motivation in the educational environment for the students. Motivation can be said to be factors that stimulate work efforts and encourage students to perform their best at studies. Therefore, the success would depend largely on how effectively the efforts of students are harnessed and rewarded.
Dr. Arti Vishnoi Copyright (c) 2023 International Journal of Current Research in Education, Culture and Society http://stm.eurekajournals.com/index.php/IJCRECS/article/view/386 Tue, 15 Dec 2020 00:00:00 +0000
