Application of Matlab Embedded Java for Turning a Basic Projector into an Interactive Projector
Abstract
We used a LASER pointer to develop a strategy for turning a basic projector into an interactive projector. We focused on transformations, such as Projective Transformation for calibration, feature extractions from a color image for finding a pointer, and java commands for performing mouse operations. We used screen resolution to match the coordinates of an interesting area of a taken image. To identify a pointer, we determine distinct color intensity threshold values by subtracting the greyscale of the original color image from the color image of interest. After locating the pointer, the appropriate mouse operations are carried out.
