Abstract

Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) is considered to be the worst pandemic on the earth which has not only affected mankind very badly but also paralyzed all walks of life. This caused the biggest upheaval in the field of education. The traditional pattern of education has been screwed up. The consequence is the closure of all the educational institutions. This compelled the teachers to switch to online mode of teaching learning. The present study was undertaken to find out the effectiveness of the on line learning system during the wave. To achieve the objective of the study 123B.Ed. and M.Ed. students (trainees) of CTE, Raipur were selected through purposive sampling. Their individual perceptions were documented through a tool on measurement of reactions towards on line teaching. The analysis of data was relied on the descriptive as well as inferential statistical design. On analysis of data it was found that a larger group of students were comfortable with online learning. They like to learn in small groups. Students find it interesting. Overall online learning is effective but not efficient. Further it is needed to modify different aspects of online learning to make the process effective and efficient in future.
