Juvenile Justice System-Rehabilitation, Restoration and Reformation

Abstract

Children are pillars for the future of all the societies around the world. Their indulgence in behaviours that are recognized as against societal values and norms has given rise to a phenomena labeled as Juvenile delinquency. Juvenile delinquency is a serious problem and a social malady for the society because the root of the adult criminality lies in it.

The threat the problem poses is that the young offender may easily become an adult criminal if not deterrent and rehabilitative measures are applied timely.
