सार

The main purpose of this study was to find out the effect of Modern Wrestling Training Method on motor fitness components of Wrestlers. For the purpose of this study 100 male wrestlers from Amravati Division who were involved in regular practice and participated in state level wrestling competition were selected and age of the subjects was ranging from 16 to 20 years. The subjects were selected by adopting simple random sampling method. It was hypothesised that there will be significant difference in selected motor fitness components of Wrestlers practicing through Modern Wrestling training method. Data on motor fitness components were collected using 50-yard dash (speed), pull ups (strength), bent knee sit-ups (muscular endurance), standing broad jump (power), shuttle run (agility) and sit and reach (flexibility) and the numbers of tracing were recorded as the score. The subjects were divided into two equal groups, each group consisted of 50 players, in which group-A was experimental groups and group B was control group. Modern Wrestling Training was assigned to Group A, and no specific exercises was given to control group B. The training period was consisted of three months. During the training, principle of overload training was adopted for the optimum development of the desired objective of the study. Independent t-test was employed to find out significant difference between experimental and control group and Dependent t-test was employed to find out the significant difference between pre and post-test and hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level. The findings of the statistical analysis revealed that significance of difference was occurred between the groups in all the variable of Motor Fitness Components when independently performed. Training showed improvement in the performance of wrestlers.
