Abstract

In a school, teachers must effectively cope with the many mentalities of their students. Therefore, we need teachers who are emotionally healthy in order to handle the activities of children with care. Students are the building blocks of a nation, thus if they are not correctly shaped, a nation's development may not occur systematically; consequently, they must be molded under the supervision of emotionally intelligent teachers. To address the problems of teaching in a democratic society of the twenty-first century, teachers must be prepared and equipped with emotional intelligence. The purpose of the current study was to investigate the relationship between the emotional intelligence of B.Ed students and the study habits they maintain and the academic achievement they achieve. The Emotional Intelligence Scale that was developed by Anukool Hyde, Sanjyot Pethe, and Upinder Dhar (2005) was approved for use and put to good use in order to collect the necessary data for the present study. Following that, the data were analyzed by utilizing the t-test, as well as the mean and standard deviation.
