Abstract

The traditional significance of university degrees is being challenged as the demand for practical skills in the workforce intensifies. This article explores the shifting paradigm education where micro-credentials are gaining prominence alongside conventional degree programs. As companies increasingly seek employees with specific competencies, universities must adapt their curricula to be more flexible and responsive to these changes. This article examines the emergence of two educational pathways—Degree Credentials and Micro Credentials—and their implications for students, employers, and the broader Thai society.
